Medium bodied dry white wine with an herbal, pineapple, grapefruit nose. Fresh, light, but lingering flavor. Pairs well with butter lettuce salad with gorgonzola crumbles and green peppercorn dressing.
Torrontés is usually identified with Argentina, but the grapes that made this wine come from Silvaspoons Vineyard in the Alta Mesa AVA of Lodi, CA. This wine has a smooth mouthfeel, and herbal aromas that also bring pineapple and grapefruit to mind. Finishes green apple clean but only after exposing a mild peach/apricot underbelly.
